How can I – ?
Go to our homepage and scroll down to see any upcoming events, then click on “Buy Tickets” under the event you wish to buy tickets for. When you have reached the page for the event, read the details carefully to ensure that you are eligible to attend, then follow the instructions given and fill in the required fields. You can pay using a Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit or debit card.
When you complete the payment, you should get a message telling you that the payment was successful, and should receive a receipt by email immediately. Your university/college ID card is your ticket, so you must bring this with you to the event to gain access. There is no need to print or collect any ticket.
If the event is open to anyone, and you do not have a supported ID type, select the appropriate option and we will send you a ticket by email. Simply show this ticket on your phone (with the screen brightness turned up fully) or print it off and bring it along with you.
How can I purchase multiple tickets?
For most events, you will have the option to purchase several tickets under a single student/staff ID number. This is to allow you to bring someone along with you. Once you are eligible to attend an event, the other person does not need to be eligible, but must attend the event with you. If you are only given the option to purchase one ticket, then this means that each person must be eligible in their own right to attend and must purchase their ticket individually.
If you wish to purchase tickets for a large group, please send us an email to support@entspay.com .
You will be sent a receipt by email automatically when you purchase a ticket. Please ensure that you enter your email address correctly when making your payment. While ticket confirmation emails can be resent if your email address is entered incorrectly, the original payment receipt is only sent once and cannot be resent.
How can I collect/print a ticket?
Don’t worry, if you provided your student/staff ID number, you don’t have to! Your university/college ID card is your ticket, so just bring this along with you and present it at the entrance to the event.
If for some reason you can’t bring your university/college ID card with you, just bring a copy of your email receipt, as well as a recognised form of photo ID. For certain events which are strictly only open to students from a certain university/college, you should also bring proof of enrolment to prove that you are eligible to attend the event, just in case you are asked.
If the event is open to anyone, and you do not have a supported ID type, we will send you a PDF ticket by email. Simply show this ticket on your phone (with the screen brightness turned up fully) or print it off and bring it along with you.
How can I view/check what tickets I have bought?
All tickets are sent to the email address which you entered when making your purchase. If you have lost or deleted your ticket confirmation email, you can use the Resend Tickets Form below to resend all tickets purchased under your email address.
How can I change a ticket for a different type?
If there are different ticket types available for an event, it may be possible to change your ticket to a different type than the one you have purchased. Please reply to the ticket confirmation email you received, or send us an email to support@entspay.com and we will assist you.
How can I change a musical ticket to a different show?
If your ticket is for a musical performance, and you cannot attend the show which you have purchased a ticket for, you may attend another showing of the same musical, subject to availability. In nearly all cases, there will be spaces available, even if you just turn up at the door without giving us prior notice. However, we request that all changes are submitted through the Ticket Changes Form below, so that we can keep track of ticket numbers for each show.
How can I transfer a ticket to another person?
Tickets may be transferred to another person in accordance with the Transfer Policy in the Terms & Conditions you agreed to when purchasing your ticket: https://www.entspay.com/paymenttermsconditions/
If you have a printed or email PDF ticket, then you can simply give this ticket to another person to use. There is no need to notify us to transfer printed or email PDF tickets.
If your ticket was issued on a university/college ID card, please fill in the Ticket Changes Form below to transfer your ticket to another person.
How can I cancel a ticket and get a refund?
Refunds will only be provided in accordance with the Refund Policy in the Terms & Conditions you agreed to when purchasing your ticket: https://www.entspay.com/paymenttermsconditions/
Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds which are requested less than 48 hours before an event, or after ticket sales have closed. At this stage, the event organisers are trying to finalise details with the venue and their bookings. We receive a lot of refund requests at short notice before events (for many genuine reasons), but we hope you can understand that if we were to provide all of these refunds it would be unfair to the event organisers, who are trying to finalise details based on the minimum attendance numbers and ticket revenue expected. Please consider transferring your ticket to another person instead (see previous question above).
If it is more than 48 hours before the event, and ticket sales are still ongoing, you can request a refund by filling out the Ticket Changes Form below.
What should I do if – ?
What should I do if my card is being declined?
Check that the card number and CVC (security code) number are correct. Also check that there are enough funds available in your account to pay for the transaction. Please note that the amount of funds displayed in your account may be different to the amount available, as there can be payments which have not yet been fully processed.
If you are having any problems trying to use your card, please send us an email to support@entspay.com and we will try to help you out. Unfortunately, in many cases banks do not provide us with much information, so you may have to contact your bank directly to find out why they declined the card.
What should I do if I have lost or didn’t receive my tickets?
All tickets are sent to the email address which you entered when making your purchase. If you have lost or deleted your ticket confirmation email, you can use the Resend Tickets Form below to resend all tickets purchased under your email address.
What should I do if I have been charged incorrectly?
Please send us an email to support@entspay.com and we will check this out for you.
What should I do if I can’t bring my University/College ID card with me?
Don’t worry, if for some reason you can’t bring your University/College ID card with you, just bring a copy of your email receipt, as well as a recognised form of photo ID. For most events, this will be sufficient to gain access.
For certain events which are strictly only open to students from a certain university/college, you should also bring proof of enrolment with you, just in case you are asked to prove that you are eligible to attend the event. If you have any queries, feel free to send us an email to support@entspay.com and we will try to help you out.
What should I do if my college’s ID card is not supported, or if I am not a student?
We currently support UCD Student, Staff & Campus UCards, and student ID cards from DCU, NCI, NUIG, Trinity, UCC & WIT. For events which are only open to students from any of these universities, you must have a supported ID type to be eligible to attend.
For events which are open to anyone, you are not required to have a supported ID type. Just select the appropriate option when purchasing your ticket, and we will send you a PDF ticket by email instead. Simply show this ticket on your phone (with the screen brightness turned up fully) or print it off and bring it along with you.
What should I do if an event is cancelled?
If an event has to be cancelled for any reason, we will contact you by email to advise you of refund details. We can provide full refunds to all people who purchased a ticket, however to do this we are dependent on the event organiser returning to us any payments which we have passed onto them. Please check the Refund Policy in the Terms and Conditions which you agreed to when making your purchase.
Online Payments
Is it safe to make a payment through EntsPay?
Yes. We use Stripe and Allied Irish Banks (AIB) to process all payments. Stripe is one of the worlds largest and most trusted payment service providers, and is used by thousands of small and large companies, including Apple, Facebook, Twitter and Alibaba. Stripe verifies the identity of all account holders (including ourselves) through government issued documents before transferring any payments. Our site uses an encrypted HTTPS connection, secured by a COMODO SSL certificate, to connect you to Stripes system. Stripe processes all payments securely and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1 to hold sensitive card details. We do not hold or have any access to your full card details.
Your payment is protected by the card networks, and in the event that we fail to provide the service we have promised, for any reason, you are entitled to a full refund of your payment. Refunds are issued directly by our payment service provider, Stripe, and it is up to Stripe and not you to recover the cost from us. As stated by Stripe (under paragraph 4), “If a business becomes insolvent and fails to deliver goods or services it has already sold, Stripe loses money: the business’s customer can initiate a chargeback and Stripe covers the loss.”
If you have any concerns with using EntsPay, please feel free to get in touch by sending us an email to support@entspay.com and we will try our best to address any concerns you may have.
What payment methods can I use?
We currently accept payments made through Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
Why is my card being declined?
The most common reason for a card to be declined is because of an incorrect card or CVC (security code) number. Another common reason is that there is not enough funds available in your account. Please note that the amount of funds displayed in your account may be different to the amount available, as there can be payments which have not yet been fully processed. In other cases, your bank may just feel that this payment is unusual in comparison to your normal spending habits, and may block it as a precaution.
If you are having any problems trying to use your card, please send us an email to support@entspay.com and we will try to help you out. Unfortunately, in many cases banks do not provide us with much information, so you may have to contact your bank directly to find out why they declined the card.
The admin fee is a small charge applied to each payment made using EntsPay. The admin fee is added to the price of your ticket and is always displayed to you when purchasing a ticket. The admin fee covers the cost of card processing fees, bank transaction fees and our own staff costs. As we are a student-run service and not a profit-driven business, our admin fees are lower than many similar services such as Eventbrite or Ticketmaster.
ID Ticketing
ID ticketing is using your university/college ID card as your ticket. When you purchase a ticket through EntsPay, you will be asked to enter your student/staff ID number. You can then simply bring your university/college ID card with you to the event and we can scan it at the entrance to check your ticket. This means that there is no need to collect a ticket or print one off.
We currently support UCD Student, Staff & Campus UCards, and student ID cards from DCU, NCI, NUIG, Trinity, UCC & WIT. More ID types will be added in the near future as we carry out testing on them.
For events which are open to anyone, if you do not have a supported ID type we will send you a PDF ticket by email instead.
